Bugs Alive and Special Butterfly Haven Tour for Grades N3-K

Date: Friday, May 15th, 2020 at 1 p.m. (No school for N3-K this day)

Location: The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

Observe live insects from the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum’s collections! Students will learn more about the ways that these animals move, eat, and protect themselves from danger. Each student will have the opportunity to compare and contrast several different live insects and have fun getting up close and personal (or just personal enough) with these insects. Following bug exploration, students will get to be a part of the magic of the Butterfly Haven, experiencing over 40 species of exotic butterflies and watching as newly emerged butterflies and moths take flight for the very first time during the butterfly release.
